Villa Rosa “Rocketship”
Friday, April 20th is a good day for Villa Rosa, the local duo made up of Muja Messiah and Maria Isa. In addition to it being 4/20, apparently a pretty important holiday to the duo, they also are on a bill tonight with the legendary Ghostface Killah at the Cabooze. To celebrate, the group have released the hazy, almost dubbed out track “Rocketship.” The song bounces along at a sublime pace with some crisp keyboard stabs, painting a canvass that the smooth flowing Isa and hard hitting Muja use to rhapsodize over….mainly about pot. You don’t need to be celebrating either of the reasons for their jubilance today to enjoy the track, which is below, but I am sure it wouldn’t hurt.
