Stream The New Brute Heart 7″
Local favorites Brute Heart recently dropped a 7″ single entitled Wildfire, which like the band’s most recent LP Lonely Hunter, was recorded by engineer Mike Wisti. And while the new tune (also called “Wildfire”) follows the group’s modus operandi to a certain extent, its also something of a departure. For starters it features a funky bass part that might not sound out of place in an adult film if not for the accompanying viola and fact that the drums shift rhythms dramatically. The B side of the single is a remixed version of the song, “torn apart and reconstructed” by Alex Yusimov & Jason Powers which nonetheless, sounds fairly similar to the original.
