Vånna inget “Nödsignal NY LÅT!”
Despite hating press releases, I realized that they do serve some purpose as my eyes went cross looking at the bio for Vånna inget, which is written in the native tongue of the Swedish band. I will assume that they are influenced by ABBA and all build cheap but weirdly fashionable furniture. With the biographical riff raff out of the way, listen below to the song “Nödsignal NY LÅT!” off a forthcoming 7″. The track is an earnest slab of melodic punk, featuring powerful female vocals that rides waves of fuzzy guitars and propulsive drumming to its fist-in-the-air, all voices on deck chorus that bursts through the speakers, even if you can’t understand what the hell they are saying.
See them tonight with a great set of opening locals including Teenage Moods, Ex-Nuns and Prissy Clerks for what should be a solid show at the Hexagon. Free as always with festivities kicking off sometime past 9.
