Sample some cuts from Glasgow producer Rustie ahead of Minneapolis show tonight at the Loft
Rustie is the nom de plume of Glasgow, Scotland producer Russell Whyte, put out the critically acclaimed Glass Swords in 2011, and followed up with the solid Green Language LP at the end of last year. Below you can sample the crazed, colorful, 10-ton-synths of “Ultra Thizz” from the former, and the warm, fuzzy, anthemic march of “Raptor” from the latter. Each highlight his intricate but thumping approach to electronic music, and showcase his rise in prominence over the last few years. He is in town tonight (Wed, 6/10) at the Loft in Downtown Minneapolis if you want to experience these sounds in the flesh.
