Guante & Katrah-Quey: “White People on Twitter”

White People on Twitter Cover

Two constants about Minneapolis spoken word artist/MC Guante are that he always is willing to dive into subjects that need to be talked about that are too often ignored and that he continually finds local talent to work with before they become big names. Both truisms prove correct on Guante’s latest track “White People on Twitter,” which comes off his forthcoming LP. The smokey, jazz-influenced production is from newcomer Katrah-Quey (who I’m guessing we will be hearing more from in the future), and the serene canvass serves nicely for Guante to unpack the hypocrisy and frustrations that often come from the song’s subject matter in his usual biting delivery. Listen below and keep an eye out for more news about the forthcoming LP.
