J. Spaceman joins Föllakzoid to play one of my favorite songs of 2016 and my head nearly explodes
I was blown away by Chilean neo-kraut trio Föllakzoid’s 2016, an interstellar journey with guitar, bass and drums to the the commanding heights of groove-infused homage to Faust, post-punk, Spaceman 3 and other pillars of musical history I love. For their latest release on Sacred Bones, the group roped in the living legend J. Spaceman to hop on two of the best tracks from III (including “electric,” one of my top songs of 2016). Beyond being super cool just that it happened, it is another pass at some great music.
