The Mantles: Don’t Lie

Ever have a song that comes on your MP3 player and each time you hear it, you think to yourself that you should listen to that song more often? Needless to say, the song is often forgotten until the next time it cycles through and you remember again how great it is. That song for me lately has been the jangly garage rock of The Mantles playing their timeless sounding track “Don’t Lie.” The song nearly reaches classic rock nirvana with a dose of pyschedica and a splash of home-spun garage rock, with some unvarnished vocals pulling it all together. Needless to say it is a song that I am going to try to get into more heavy rotation, along with the rest of the bands great self titled debut.
