Still not sure I’m totally on board with this whole Mountain Dew as a record label business, but I will say that I do like the latest song they are pimping out to sell their alien piss sugar water. Neon Indian burst onto the scene last year with their love-them-or-hate-them debut Psychic Chasms and I don’t see the lines becoming any less polarizing with their latest jam. “Sleep Paralysist” bounces forward ever so slightly with original Nintendo like beeps and hisses bouncing in and out over the groove. It is a track that could be equally adept at bringing people to the dance floor or sending you on a tripped our headphone journey. Neon Indian will be sharing the stage with the Minneapolis addition to the Green Label, Solid Gold, this Friday at the Green Label SXSW party for those of you venturing to Austin for the festivities.
