Dragons Power Up: Filter Valve

I only really know Dragons Power Up for the occasional collaboration they have done with Guante and Big Cats! but I have to say that what I have heard so far of their sophomore album, Brace for the Bloom, is impressive. Here is a taste – “Filter Valve” is a short, gut-punch of a song, all angularly jutting guitars and rhythm shifts. It’s mostly punk infused rock, but I’ll be damned if there isn’t a strong funk presence as well in that pounding bassline and jangly guitar chords.
