Real Woods “No Rain” (Blind Melon Cover)

Woods and Real Estate, two of my favorite discoveries from 2009, are coming together for what should be an epic tour in the coming months. To get the good vibes flowing, the groups came together at their New York show for an encore of two songs, one of the which was the Woods staple “Military Madness” by Graham Nash. The other was the combined groups, under the Real Woods moniker, playing the Blind Melon track “No Rain,” which was a great choice for the two bands. While they both create music that skirts the outer edge of pop music, hearing these talented guys playing a song that crossed over to the masses doesn’t seem like that far of a stretch. Now if only this tour will make a stop in Minneapolis. Pretty please?!
