Here is a dancy new track from Portland’s experimental post-punk poppers Reporter. Taken from the soon to be released debut LP, Time Incredible (Holocene) “Lab Test” makes for a fantastic lead single. It is a gritty yet fluid, poppy yet dense pop song. Lead vocalist Alberta Poon’s breathy alto gives it a floating dreaminess that sands down the rough edges of Daniel Grazzini’s abrasive guitar chords, all while percussionist Michael McKinnon keeps the time with some pulse quickening beats.

I remember seeing this band a couple years ago and they sounded nothing like this at all
I think up until pretty recently they were called Wet Confetti, so you may have seen a different band called Reporter back then
