Balkan Beat Box Injury / Concert Reschedule
Sadly Balkan Beat Box’s Tomer suffered an injury recently, forcing the band’s coming tour to reschedule several dates, including their upcoming 6/4 performance at the Cedar Cultural Center. Don’t fret though as the band plans to still come this summer, playing on 8/4 instead (looks like the show’s temperature will be even steamier than we first predicated)
From the Cedar:
Balkan Beat Box’s lead singer, Tomer fell two meters from an elevated stage in France last week. Due to an unstable monitor falling over. He was hospitalized. As of this morning, he is still in deep pain — the bruising is deep on shoulder and ribs, and his fractured bones will take time to heal. Management had hoped that a week of resting would reveal marked improvement. But the bones are not closed, and are slow to heal. The doctor says it is dangerous to move him on an overseas trip. Also, he cannot sing or lift anything like suitcases, or play the timbales, bongos, and percussion due to the fractured ribs so he does not feel that he can deliver the kind of high energy show that people expect from BBB. Their entire June U.S. run has been cancelled. Some shows are able to be re-scheduled to August.
