Gauntlet Hair “I Was Thinking”

I don’t know if I was just having an off day, or maybe I had blog hype fatigue, but I brushed off the track “I Was Thinking” by Gauntlet Hair when I first heard it a while back. The song, both praised and releasedby Gorilla Vs Bear on their Forest Family Records label (quite probably a conflict of interest, but whatever), is a drawn out, funky dream pop gem. The tracks glittering guitars and echo laden vocals fit in with the current “chillwave” trend, but the stuttering percussion and charging, twisted rhythm help to set it apart from the pack.
