Dark Dark Dark: Daydreaming
Local band Dark Dark Dark has been keeping busy. In addition to releasing an excellent EP this year already, they will release their sophomore full length Wild Go this October which will be preceded by a national tour (dates below). Here’s a little subdued piano pop from the forthcoming LP. “Daydreaming” finds DDD as listless and melancholy as ever, with Nona Marie Invie’s haunting vocals taking the lead over a dense instrumental score. The band’s Eastern European influence is dampened a bit, with the signature accordion playing second fiddle to a more pop-oriented piano sound.
