Tooth Ache: Skin
Here’s another upcoming release from Father Daughter Records, the same good folks who recently brought us the fantastic Family Trees 7″. Tooth Ache is a Vermont based low-fi keyboard jockey who produces droning “downer pop” over drum machine beats. “Skin” is one of the tracks off of the artist’s upcoming 7″ (Aug 17th). It reminds me quite a bit of that sort of faux organ sound you used to hear from 16 bit videogame consoles like the SNES (particularly from rpg games like the Final Fantasy series) though luckily the addition of the haunting vocals add another element entirely.
