The new track “Rattling Cage,” from the Forest Sword 7′ out on No Pain in Pop, is a track that borders on sensory overload. The chimes ring in the background while the electronics and percussion bounce all around the mix and add a decidedly tripped out feel to the track. “Rattling Cage,” which lasts for four whacked out minutes, is a speaker rattling song that sounds like if Kid A were redone using the Dubstep model. What the track lacks in emotional connectivity it makes up in that kind of wide eyed wonderment that seems to most deeply connect well into the night through the geniusof good headphones. Not exactly a “summer jam” by any stretch of the imagination, but still a good song.
