H.U.N.X “Can a Man Hear Me”
I have a habit of grabbing MP3’s from promo emails I get, blogs and pretty much any place that will provide me with new music. I download them to a folder titled “New Songs” and then when I am working or hanging out I will play the whole folder and see if any songs jump out to me. Often I go through a whole playlist and nothing captures my imagination. This doesn’t mean it is bad, just nothing that on the surface level really shakes me loose and makes me say “who the fuck is this?” Well, the track “Can a Man Hear Me” by H.U.N.X did just that. The song practically screams “take ectasy and dance to me,” with bouncing synths, stuttering drums and tripped out, overtly sexual lyrics and singing. I had no idea who this band was, but a little research found that it is a side project for members of the groups Hunx and his Punx and Teenage Fantasy. I know nothing else, other than I want to hear more. Oh yeah, and their myspace page is myspace.com/gayestmusicever. I can vouch that this is not hyperbole.
