The Corin Tucker Band “Doubt”
Corin Tucker, she of Sleater-Kinney fame, is back with a new album with her Corin Tucker Band. Luckily, the music the group creates is a little more creative than the band name, featuring classic rock drums, scuzzy guitar and Tucker’s well known wail. She described her new record as a “middle-aged mom record” to Pitchfork, which is funny because I thought Barry Manilow’s greatest hits was “middle-aged mom” type music, but this maybe I need to rethink my categorization. The record is out in October on Kill Rock Stars.
