Radio Dept “The New Improved Hypocrisy”
Grab a new song that Swedish indie band Radio Dept wrote to highlight their countries elections that are being held today. It technically is a protest song (the lyrics are above), but it has to be the most hazy, poppy protest song of all time. The group, who dropped the excellent (if underrated) Clinging to a Scheme earlier this year, return with their trademark dream pop sound, but this track is less blissful and more direct and serious than most of the material on their last record. While it doesn’t compare favorably with their best work, it still is a solid song from a band who always seem to make good music.
