The Baseball Project (feat Craig Finn) “Don’t Call Them Twinkies”
Any Hold Steady fan knows that Craig Finn is a giant Twins fan, and he is further cementing his fandom with a new Twins related song he wrote called “Don’t Call Them Twinkies” with the indie rock group The Baseball Project. The group is a side project for members of Dream Syndicate, REM and Linda Pitmon (of Zuzu’s Petals) that will be releasing their baseball themed record next year. 89.3 The Current is streaming the new song just in time for the playoffs, which will be starting in a few weeks. I can’t speak for all of the staff here, but I for one am very excited and when you combine that with anything Craig Finn related, it makes even the dreary, rainy day seem good.
