Dent Sweat "I Don’t Mind"
Who would have thought Dent May, the bookish Ukulele player who wrote whip smart pop songs from the too smart for their own good crowd, would write one of the most compelling electro-funk-soul jams of the year? Under his alter ego Dent Sweat, May wrote the slinky, synth driven “I Don’t Mind,” which should be enough to get even the most nerdy kids out of their seats. The tongue in cheek lyrics that made his earlier work so great are still there, but the music definitely will be a surprise for anyone who had lost track of May since he put out Dent May And His Magnificent Ukulele. While I really liked his original sound, one can only hope there is more Dent Sweat in the future.
