Low Announces New Record, C’mon
Duluth “slow-core” band Low just announced the release date for their upcoming record C’mon. The record will be available to consumers on April 16th, 2011 and promises to be “Warmer, fuller and more introspective” than the group’s last output, Drums and Guns. Lead singer Alan Parkhawk sums it up as: “With the last couple of records, we were grappling with something outside of ourselves. This one feels more like, ‘Well, forget that. I’m looking in your eyes right now, and we need to figure out how to get through the next moment together, as human beings.” Sparhawk and co. are relying on producer MattBeckley to midwife that intimate vibe, as well as the vaulted ceilings of Sacred heart Studio (a former church) where C’mon was recorded.
