TV on the Radio “Caffeinated Conciseness”
The second track officially released from the upcoming TV on the Radio LP Nine Types of Light, “Caffeinated Conciseness,” brings a little more life to the table than the first track we heard. While the band has proven that the can really bring slow burning songs to life, it is good to hear the group utilizing their powerful sound in a more funky way, even if neither track has fully blown me away. “Caffeinated Conciseness” has a almost old school Chili Peppers feel of stuttering drums and staccato vocals, with a few time change/style shifts thrown in for good measure. If nothing else, the band refuses to take the easy route, which is a big reason that they are so great. Nine Types of Light will be out soon.
