Ford & Lopatin “Emergency Room”
Games, the electronic duo behind the excellent …That We Can Play EP from last year (featuring my #1 song from 2010), are back with a new name, Ford & Lopatin, and a new LP, Channel Pressure. The first song released form the album is the 80’s synth jam “Emergency Room,” which doubles down on their vintage pop sound, almost to an extreme. Their debut record is due out on their own Software Label this spring, so we will see how far the buzz surrounding their refined 80’s sound takes them.
