Eleanor Friedberger: “My Mistakes”
Fiery Furnaces frontwoman Eleanor Friedberger recently signed with Merge Records to release her very first solo record Last Summer (7/12/11). I am not sure what to think of her first single “My Mistakes,” which was just recently made available. It’s a fairly pop-oriented rock tune that featues Friedberger’s vocals over a staid synth and drum beat. The melody is nice and the saxaphone towards the end of the tune is a good addition. Should be interesting to see how this one pans out.
