In the future, when love has boiled down to 1 and 0’s, Dylan Ettinger will be our Billie Holiday. The excerpt from the song “Squares,” off his forthcoming Moon Glyph tape Pattern Recursion, is a futuristic pop song delivered in a cool, steely package. Described in the press release as “computer musick,” “Squares” is chilly without being too detached and twitchy without sounding unhinged.
