Balam Acab: “Oh Why”
Balam Acab is the nom de guerre of a young, up-and-coming experimental music producer out of Pennsylvania by the name of Alex Koone. His only release so far has been an excellent EP on the Tri angle imprint called See Birds. Koone is currently readying his debut full length LP, WANDER / WONDER which will drop this August. You can listen to the first single from it, “Oh Why” here. Its a darkly fuzzed out tune that combines childlike vocals with slowed down trip hop beats and various electronic noises that range from liquid flowing to what sounds like insect wings.
