Trouble Books and Mark McGuire “Song for Reinier Lucassen’s Sphinx”
I make no bones about the fact that I am a giant Mark McGuire fan, so any project the Emeralds guitarist is involved with is something I look forward to. The latest entry to this category is the collaboration with fellow Ohio ambient noisemakers Trouble Books on a new self titled LP on Bark and Hiss. The first song released is the mellow, tripped out “Song for Reinier Lucassen’s Sphinx,” which adds some spacy vocals to McGuires usual concoction of bubbling synths and atmopspheric guitars.
