Three new Cloak Ox Songs
Cloak Ox have been around for less than a year, but have been making waves in the local scene with their lineup of scene veterans and their great live shows. Now fans who haven’t been able to get out to see the group will be able to preview the material that will be on their first EP, titled Prisen, which will drop on Totally Gross National Product in the near future. Fans who have seen the band, featuring ex-Fog dudes Andrew Broder, Jeremy Ylvisaker, and Mark Erickson with Dosh on the drums, will recognize the three songs streaming below. All three songs are great, but the highlight is the slinky funk groove of “Vacuum Cleaner,” which showcases the bands tight chops and finds Andrew Broder at his neurotic best. The whole EP will drop soon, and if the first half of the songs are any indication, it will be one of the most exciting releases from our local scene this year.
