Chicago Cassette Compilation
In seeing first hand all of the great bands that are part of the Minneapolis scene, I often wonder how many bands I am missing that float beneath the surface of other local scenes. With Chicago being our closest “big city,” we see a decent amount of crossover with the two scenes, but I was still interested when I saw recently a 200 copy run of a compilation of bands from Chicago put together by the two syllable record label. I had heard of a few of the bands, but most were new to me, which is a great chance to check out what their music community has to offer. Listen to the songs from the albums bandcamp page and if you like it pick up a copy of the tape and check out further work from the groups you like.
