Colleen Green “Oh Baby”
Colleen Green aren’t breaking any new ground with their fuzzed guitars, propulsive drumming and harmonized girl group vocals, as personified in the song “Oh Baby” below. If you are familiar with Black Tambourine or Shop Assistants (or for newer referencing Dum Dum Girls or Vivian Girls), you will recognize the wall of sound post My Bloody Valentine jangle that the group does a good job of replicating. They have a few curious covers (Blink 182?) and a few interesting ones, but mostly the songs seemed destined to be placed in the “good but not great” pile.
