Silent Diane “Capella” and “Lights On”

Silent Diane are a group out of Texas associated with bands like Pure X and Sleep Over, so it isn’t a surprise when you first hear their fuzzy, dream infused pop music.  The two songs the group are releasing through the True Panther record label are the more shimmering “Capella” and the more claustrophobic and haunting “Lights On.”  Both find the group stretching the parameters of pop music in cool directions, following the mold set forth by their friends and contemporaries.  I am not sure if the “Capella” single signals a forthcoming EP or LP, but if they can string together a a record of songs with the same intensity as these two, the attention these initial tracks received (and they received a good bit of attention) will only blossom into much more. Keep an eye out here for future releases from this rising young band.
