OccupyMN Free Concert Today (including Toki Wright)
The OccupyMN even taking place in Downtown Minneapolis is celebrating the first week of their occupation with some local musicians putting on a show this morning at 11 am. The show, headlined by hip hop artist Toki Wright, features music from Pandora’s Box Cutter, Thee Evil Creatures, Sean Anonymous of Wide Eyes, and the Lioness. Other acts include local spoken word artists Rob Weekend, Karma the Oddest Goddess, and Flo-Me will. There was a surprise performance from Portugal, the Man yesterday before their show at First Avenue, so you never know who may stop by. The events are all happening at Government Plaza (Now called The People’s Plaza), which is located at 300 South 6th Street.
