The Chambermaids “Whirlpool”
It’s been since 2009 since we’ve seen a physical release from local shoegaze pop band The Chambermaids but thankfully in the meantime they’ve begun putting out a few digital singles in conjunction with local label Guilt Ridden Pop. The follow up to July’s excellent “China Blue”, “Whirlpool” is an almost too brief 2 1/2 minutes of both swirling and chiming guitars, dreamy background oohs and subdued vocals leading into a shoegazey guitar finale.
