Keep Shelly in Athens are a young synth driven dream pop group who have been on a pretty good roll with their last two EP’s, 2010’s In Love with Dusk and their 2011 release Our Own Dream, which we have covered HERE and HERE. If you aren’t convinced yet, try out the blissful pop of “California Birds” above, which finds the band covering a noisy, euphoric pop track originally written by the band ABADABAD. If you are new to the band and were hoping to buy a copy of either of the aforementioned 12″ EP’s, you are out of luck. They are long gone, but you can pre-order their next LP, which I am sure will be great, over at Insound.
