Pigeons: “Chances”
This year Bronx experimental pop outfit Pigeons released the follow up to 2010’s excellent Liaisons. They Sweetheartstammers is available now on Soft Abuse, and it must have snuck right in there because until very recently I wasn’t even aware of the album’s existence. However, that’s a situation I hope to remedy shortly. Check out the single “Chances” below, and you can decide for yourself if you would like to join me on this journey. At first blush it appears to sound akin to a vintage Asian pop song with psychedelic guitar elements thrown in for good measure. Chances are (and here’s hoping) that the rest of the record will be similarly strange.
