Orchard Thief: “Through the Dark, Away From Home”
Local experimental musician Orchard Thief (Sam Molstad) has a new record coming out this Winter. Sensational Living will be out on 1/12 on Lung/Land Breathing, a new boutique record label started by Mosltad and his frequent collaborator Jesse Pollock (Glass Buds). Take a listen to “Through the Dark, Away From Home” on the Orchard Thief bandcamp page—and if you dig it, you can download the track for free and head out to the album release show on Jan 12 at the Hexagon. The new track is a riff on Molstad’s guitar/effects aesthetic, and features the artist murmuring heavily-reverbed vocals over multiple dreamy guitar tracks and a drum machine beat.
