Food Pyramid: “Oh Mercy”
If you have been following local electronic artists Food Pyramid over the past few years you know that they’ve been releasing tapes at a pretty steady clip (as well as a pretty steady degree of quality). Mango Sunrise, which will be available on March 6th via Moon Glyph, will be the group’s very first LP released on vinyl. And not only that – if the first single “Oh Mercy” is any indicator, the forthcoming album will also represent a shift in sound towards a more house-oriented dance aesthetic. The new song throbs with a pulsing beat, and features the group’s very first vocal offerings, not to mention a high degree of druggy, psychedelic saxophone.
