Liz Harris (Grouper) “New Song”
Eccentric tape label NNA Tapes recently released a comp titled Diamond Catalog
‘Magnified Palette’ Remixes, which was described by them as featuring “truly disturbed dance music” from various noise and electronic artists. One such artist who Liz Harris, the heorine of noisy pop deconstructionalists Grouper, who contributed a unnamed track as part of the tape. Her song is just under three minutes of paranoid beeps and hisses, with a rumbling bass line bouncing off adondened walls and synth floursihes fighting out from the fog. While I would be interested to find someone who could dance to this, they nailed it with the “disturbed” part. Grab the tape HERE.
