oOoOO “NoWayBack”
In addition to serving as a conduit for our esteemed editor Will to introduce his family to ambient electronic music, New York solo artist oOoOO also spends some of his time recording and releasing albums. It just so happens that the time has come for that to happen again, with the group announcing they will be releasing their sophomore EP Our Loving Is Hurting Us on the buzzing UK label Tri-Angle Records. It has been since 2010 when oOoOO ushered “witch house” into our consciousness, and the wait has seen the genre and sound expand into popular lexicon. “NoWayBack” is a little less dark and is wrapped in a softer R&B tone than his older work, but still finds Christopher Dexter Greenspan, the man behind oOoOO, creating some incredibly layered and spooky electronic sound collages.
