Halo Halo – Manananggal
Over the past few months, the M’lady Record label has put out a number of great underground releases, including a single from our very own Brute Heart. The latest of these that I’ve been digging is UK trio Halo Halo. The band’s recent single, “Manananggal,” (also a 7″ single), is an unorthodox pop gem that combines jangly guitar with a female vocal lead (backed by the rest of the band). The found footage video is pretty cool as well and fits the music well.
