Ty Segall + White Fence “I Am Not A Game”
I would be a bold faced liar if I tried to pretend that I wasn’t very excited for the forthcoming Ty Segall/White Fence collaborative LP and subsequent tour (coming to the Entry on May 8th!). That being said, the first track released from their Drag City released Hair is the slightly underwhelming “I Am Not a Game.” The track is good, don’t get me wrong, but feels like it softens the edges of both artists while not fully capturing the spirit of either. I hope the record stretches out the two artists sound a little more than the lead track does, but even if it doesn’t, the fact that the record means they are touring together and coming to Minneapolis is reason enough to celebrate.
