Bass Drum of Death “I Wanna Be Forgotten”
When I saw Bass Drum of Death on their last swing through town, I described them as “heavy as mud” and “big fans of the early 90’s.” Both of those descriptors work well in describing their studio recording, including “I Wanna Be Forgotten,” a song they recorded for their tour only 7″. After machine gun snare shots, the band tear through two and a half minutes of distorted to hell guitar chords and effect laden vocals, charging the line between punk and grunge. If you like what you hear, the band will be swinging by the Twin Cities for a show at the 7th Street Entry on 6/25
