Ty Segall “Wave Goodbye” & “I Bought My Eyes”
Ty Segall has gone from an unknown yahoo one-man-band a few years ago to a well established garage rock brand. A brand I will throw my money at sight unseen. And a brand that so far, despite a near over saturation of music, has yet to let me down. His latest adventure is with the “Ty Segall Band,” which is his touring group and includes his kindred spirit Mikal Cronin. You can listen to two songs below, including the thick, methodical groove of “Wave Goodbye” and the breezy then raucous “I Bought My Eyes.” Both bring Segall back to his fist full of fuzz garage punk that he trafficked on his previous LP’s, before the slightly more mellow Goodbye Bread and the more pysch leaning Hair LP with White Fence. It almost is silly at this point the quantity of material Segall puts out, but if the quality stays at where it is, there won’t be any complaint from me. His forthcoming LP Slaughterhouse will drop on In the Red on 6/26.
