Dan Deacon “Lots”
I think that Dan Deacon’s top shelf weirdness sometimes masks the fact that he creates some really amazing music. The latest example of his wizardy crafting complex but playful electronic sounud collages is the frantic “Lots,” which is the first single released from his forthcoming LP America. While his circus like live show is, and probably will always be, the biggest draw for most people in regards to Deacon, “Lots” proves again he is more than a one trick pony. While his previous studio material was solid in its own regard, if “Lots” is any indciation, Deacon has refined his sound and putting himself in a strong position to get the credit he so richly deserves.
