Jon Spencer Blues Explosions “Black Mold”
Despite getting a little long in the tooth, the folks in Jon Spencer Blues Explosion still can bring the ruckus. Case in point is the bands rollicking new song, “Black Mold,” which is off their forthcoming Meat and Bone LP. In addition to the great news on the new LP, the bands first in nearly a decade, the gang are hitting the road. You can hear all of the sound and fury on Oct. 22nd at the Triple Rock Social Club for a show that should not be missed. Listen to the track below and don’t miss the band when they roll through town. I saw them a few years back at Pitchfork, and even in the sweltering summer sun the leather clad band played a greasy, scuzzy brand of garage rock and roll that few can match.
