Nguzunguzu “Delirium”
Nguzunguzu, despite being a name that is hard to pronounce, are a group you are going to be hearing from a lot in the near future. The group are releasing a new EP called Warm Pulse on July 3rd on Hippos In Tanks, the label of like minded electronic pop deconstructionist James Ferraro. You can listen below to the song “Delirium,” which is a wonked out slice of paranoid electronic. The press release describes the new EP, which follows last years Timesup’ EP on Kingdom’s Fade To Mind, as the “unlikely holy trinity of Philip Glass, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and The X-Files.” Not far off. The glitchy, digitized R&B is both spooky and sexy, with a extra layer of grime making sure things don’t get too comfortable. Look for more from this group as the EP drops next week.
