Suspensers “Time is All”
Cassette tapes may be the format du jour for bands self-releasing material currently, but right now local boutique label Soft Abuse seems to be making a habit of finding errant tapes and reissuing them on vinyl. Myrrh’s debut cassette is getting the treatment this Summer as we mentioned a couple of days ago. NYC’s Suspenser’s recently got the sweet deal as well – their 2011 debut Too Dumb to Live, Too Stoned to Die is available now. Featuring acid-country band D. Charles Speer’s Ted Robinson, Suspensers ups the weirdness ante with drugged out blues/pop/country that wanders down a reverb canyon populated with the occasional field recording. You can listen to far-out single “Time is All” below, and if you dig it there is more over at the Soft Abuse site (as well as ordering details).
