Dark Dark Dark “Tell Me”
New Dark Dark Dark material is always good news. The (mainly) local group’s last two have definitely been favorites and they only seem to be getting better. The newest record, Who Needs Who, is slated for U.S. release on Oct 2nd, and will be accompanied by a European tour (and hopefully a few local dates as well). You can check out the first track “Tell Me” in anticipation – its an achingly melancholy rock tune that features lead vocalist Nona Marie Invie’s sorrowful lyricism. In other words, its not really a huge departure from the band’s established sound though it doesn’t really exhibit any Eastern European folk influences (something the band is somewhat known for).
