Pony Trash: “Down To The River” & “Weight Of The Night”

Pony Trash, the newest project from local music veterans Neil Weir, Nate Nelson, Chris Bierden, and Ollie Moltaji, have been releasing one new song a week from their forthcoming EP Submarine.  We posted the titular track awhile back, and now we’re just catching up to the other two: “Down To The River’ & “Weight Of The Night.”  Both are guitar heavy, distortion-laden, shoegaze-oriented tracks with the former picking up the pace noticeably alongside “Weight of the Night” and “Submarine’s” slower paced moodiness.  While I thought the first single contained elements of Pink Floyd influence, those elements don’t seem quite as evident in tracks two and three. Looking forward to Submarine’s last two tunes, which we should be able to hear shortly (as well as the soon-to-be-released EP).
